Tavistock Development Co. LLC offered a glimpse of one of its latest projects in Lake Nona.
The 348-unit Ariel Apartments complex — which began work last fall— is expected to be completed by second-quarter 2018, as previously reported by Orlando Business Journal.

The project is part of Tavistock’s longtime plan to bring multiple styles of apartment living to the fast-growing Lake Nona community, as previously reported by OBJ.

Meanwhile, the project would help meet the region’s growing apartment demand. Metro Orlando reported a 96.4 percent apartment occupancy rate and 1,143 in average monthly rental rates, according to the most recent report from Charlotte, N.C.-based Real Data Inc.

Birmingham, Ala.-based WeldenField — the same company Tavistock partnered with on other Lake Nona apartment communities — is the project partner. Walker & Co. Inc. is the general contractor and Fugleberg Koch PLLC is the architect.

The 17-square-mile southeast Orlando community has more than $1 billion worth of projects in various of stages of construction. The new projects — include for-sale homes, rental apartments, retail space, offices and plenty of places to play — will offer plenty for Lake Nona’s 11,000 residents and Medical City’s 5,000 employees.
